Still is a collaborative film created by a 13-person crew. The film applies the exclusive use of still images to offer a unique exploration of experimentation and storytelling.. Each crew member was equipped with a camera of their choosing. The types of cameras included a wide array of platforms, including both film and digital. Through this combination of cameras, the project embodies a rich tapestry of perspectives and styles.
As the individual visions coalesce, the amalgamation of techniques give rise to a film that transcends the boundaries of conventional cinema. From intimate close-ups to sweeping landscapes, the juxtaposition of imagery creates a dynamic interplay of emotion and narrative.
Still is a synthesis of fiction, documentary, and experimental form. Anthony and Stelianie are bored with the daily repetition of their relationship. In response, they decide to take a spontaneous trip to the Florida Keys. Through this journey, they hope to recapture a passion that has long since vanished.
The images and sounds for still were captured by the collective efforts of Isabel Durrmeier, Rainer Durrmeier, Verena Durrmeier, Jason Graham, April Ruane, Jon McArdle, Nick Martins, Blake Ashman, Michael Landsberg, Bryan Ilg, David Geores, Dan Barrio, and Paul Echeverria.
