The project invites participants to rethink the concept of the bracket beyond its conventional use in tournament matchups. One Shining Moment: Bracketology revolves around the creation of interactive brackets that incorporate elements of art, film, music, technology, and recurring cultural references. Participants determine the final outcome of the bracket.

Through the use of social media, participants are invited to review the matchups and vote for their preferred seeds. These rounds continues until a final "champion" is determined. In addition to voting, participants are also encouraged to interact and provide alternative commentary regarding the existing outcomes.
